Off-Campus Hotel Accommodations

Click here for off-campus hotel suggestions. There are some hotels within walking distance of the convention events. Some hotels have a courtesy van that will take you to local destinations (not the airport) upon request, subject to availability. Please pay attention to booking deadlines to get our convention rates. After that, you can still mention the ISB when making a reservation to see if you can get a reduced rate, subject to availability.

On-Campus Accommodations

Arrangements for on-campus housing for the ISB 2025 Convention at Florida State University must be made through the ISB, do not contact the university for reservations. A limited number of rooms will be available in Dorman Hall, approximately a 7-minute walk from the College of Music:

• Rooms are air-conditioned, (single or double occupancy, two rooms share a bathroom in between).
• Cost of parking is not included with your on-campus room reservation. On-campus parking information to follow.
• A linen package comes with each bed that includes sheets / pillow and pillowcase / lightweight comforter / 1 towel and 1 washcloth. Shower curtain and toilet paper provided. There are no televisions, telephones, clothes hangers or toiletries included with your residence hall stay. Bring your own soap, cup, shampoo, hair dryer, etc.
• Free Wi-Fi access will be available in the residence hall, as well as the College of Music.

Arrival & Departure Dates

Earliest arrival date for on-campus housing is Friday, May 30, 2025. Everyone must check out by 12 PM Noon on Sunday, June 8. No holdovers allowed. $50 fee for late checkout.

Room Pricing

• $95 per person per night for Semi-Private Single (one person in room, sharing bathroom with room next door)
• $60 per person per night for Double Occupancy (two in a room, sharing bathroom with room next door)

On-Campus Housing Rules

• Minimum 3-night stay for on-campus housing.
• Smoking and pets are prohibited in the residence halls.
• Alcoholic beverages are not permitted in the residence halls.
• Free Wi-Fi access will be available in the residence hall as well as the College of Music.

Dorm Policies for Minors

Participants under age 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. No one under the age of 18 will be assigned to a single room. The Young Bassists and ISB Next Generation programs are a closely supervised week of group activities and ensemble playing. The ISB welcomes and encourages family members to accompany bassists under the age of 18 to the convention and provides complimentary badges to non-bassist family members and chaperones.

On-Campus Housing Deadlines

On-campus housing reservations must be received at the ISB office by Thursday, May 1, 2025. No refunds for on-campus housing or meal plan reservations after that date. Reservations for on-campus housing are on an as-available basis. Click the appropriate link above to make your reservation.

Confirmation

If making your reservation by mail or fax, please make a photocopy of your completed registration form and housing / meal reservation form for your records. Those who register by Thursday, May 1, 2025 will receive an orientation package of campus and local information by mail or email.
